Clearing and Sweeping the Area At the beginning of your pressure washing project, you’ll want to make sure the concrete surface is clear. If there are any items on it, now’s the time to pick them up and move them somewhere else. This includes outdoor furniture, decorations, and potted plants. By relocating them temporarily, you’ll make sure they don’t get your way, and you’ll also protect them from being damaged by pressurized water.   Don’t forget to sweep the concrete, too. We suggested a bleach-water solution above. You can spritz it onto the concrete using a spray bottle. Then, wait fifteen minutes for it to break down mold. This will actually kill the mold, preventing it from spewing spores across the area.   Next, while wearing your respirator, use the stiff-bristle brush to disturb the mold. This will loosen its hold on the concrete so it can be more easily removed. If necessary, you can also do a second round of chemical treatment to further weaken mold. Pressure Washing Concrete to Remove Debris Now you have reached the final step of learning how to remove mold from concrete: pressure washing the concrete. You’ll want to set your pressure washer to 3,000 to 3,500 PSI for this work. Keep a firm grasp on the hose, and never point it at yourself to reduce the risk of injury.
